Special Needs Child Caregiver – Contra Costa

About the role

Support children with autism, cerebral palsy and other disabilities at home, and give their parents dependable help and a chance to rest. You’ll follow each child’s care plan and routines, working closely with the family.

What you’ll do

• Help with daily routines: meals, dressing, bathing and toileting
• Support play, activities and the child’s routines
• Help with mobility and positioning when needed
• Keep the child safe and calm, and share updates with parents

What you need

• Registered California Home Care Aide, or willing to register (we can help)
• Able to pass the state-required fingerprint background check (Live Scan) and TB test
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Patient, kind and dependable, with good communication skills
• Experience with children with special needs preferred (family, school or care settings)
