Special Needs Child Caregiver – East Bay
- Location: Newark, Fremont, Union City, Hayward, Oakland, Berkeley, Pleasanton, Livermore
- Pay: $20–$24 per hour
- Schedule: After-school, weekend and respite shifts
About the role
Support children with autism, cerebral palsy and other disabilities at home, and give their parents dependable help and a chance to rest. You’ll follow each child’s care plan and routines, working closely with the family.
What you’ll do
- Help with daily routines: meals, dressing, bathing and toileting
- Support play, activities and the child’s routines
- Help with mobility and positioning when needed
- Keep the child safe and calm, and share updates with parents
What you need
- Registered California Home Care Aide, or willing to register (we can help)
- Able to pass the state-required fingerprint background check (Live Scan) and TB test
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Patient, kind and dependable, with good communication skills
- Experience with children with special needs preferred (family, school or care settings)
